Residency at Kilpisjärvi - new blog

From now on I´ll be posting directly from the http://www.kilpiscope.net/residency/ blog, so you can follow my journal there. See you!

Snow storm in Kilpisjärvi

Today is snowing really hard, I´ll spend some time cleaning the bicycle to go to the Biological station. Is really beautiful how landscape change so quickly. Suddenly there are no mountains, just the shape of the cottages and the trees in a big white background. The weather yesterday was not so cold (about -5 and -7) and the snow texture was becoming harder and transparent. Fortunately with all the snow today we´re going to have all covered in white again.

For those who asked me where exactly I was, there´s a general map. Kilpisjärvi is near the Norwegian and Swedish borders. I´ll go to the Norwegian border today or tomorrow, will be posting some pictures soon.

2010, new topic uses

Hi,
We begin the year of 2010 talking a bit about what I´m doing at the moment. In the next days I´ll be posting some info about the period I´m staying as an artist and researcher in residency at the Bioart Society (The Biological Station) in Kilipisjärvi. This is the first day I´m here alone, Erich Berger (the Ars Bioartica coordinator) was introducing me to some people here, all very nice, but he´s gone. There´s just one fish researcher beside my house and the city center (composed by a gas station and a supermarket) is 6 km away. Is really great to be here! Let me start with some pictures from the living room´s window (sorry they are too blue, is just the hurry):

Well, in the next days I´ll be doing some travelling and recording and most likely telling more interesting things.
